For many the appeal of Chambery boils down to three words - The Swiss Wall. It is one of the longest and steepest mogul runs in Europe. Champery's sunny slopes are part of the huge Port du Soleil which includes Avoriaz, Chatel, Les Crosets, Champoussy and Morgins (watch the queues at Les Crosets)
Snowboarding - in the Les Crosets area there are over 29 features which include quarter pipe, hip jumps, rails and a couple of flat downs. Yes it has a lot and is a great place to go for snowboarders, with the added benefit of a half pipe that's floodlit twice a week

Advanced Skiers - Most of Champery is not the right place for experts. Sun kills powder early, so you may want to seek out Avoriaz.
Intermediate - You have the wholeof the Portes du Soleil to discover with Les Crosets offering several good runs
Beginners - Not a first choice resort, when we learn we always like to ski home! Cross Country - Dubious merit due to the lack of snow |
